Discovery listings for eligible public events

Eligible public events can be submitted to Discovery so people can find and open them. Discovery is separate from merely having a public event link.

Before you start

Sign in to the correct ShareDay account and, if you manage more than one business or event, check the name shown in the account switcher before making changes.

How to do it

  1. Open the event’s public or Discovery settings.
  2. Confirm the event is public and contains an accurate title, date, time, suitable location wording, description, category, audience and image.
  3. Check that the event meets the current Discovery eligibility and safety rules. Resolve moderation or completeness warnings.
  4. Submit or enable the Discovery listing and preview the public result.
  5. If the event is linked to a Partner Pro business and should receive Discovery Favourite treatment, verify the Host–Partner link and Pro eligibility.
  6. After material date, venue, capacity or cancellation changes, update the event and recheck its Discovery state.
  7. Remove or unlist an event that is cancelled, private or no longer suitable for public discovery.

Important details

  • A public event link does not automatically guarantee placement in Discovery.
  • Favourite or promoted treatment does not guarantee permanent first position or a minimum audience.
  • Private addresses and sensitive child-related locations should be disclosed only at the appropriate stage.

If something does not look right

  • If the event is missing, confirm it is public, future-dated, approved and submitted to Discovery.
  • If Favourite is missing, check the active Partner Pro plan, approved account link and event eligibility.
