Link a Partner profile to a Host account — including creating the Host account later
A Partner account represents a business; a Host account represents a person who creates events. You can become Partner Pro before having a Host account. Partner-profile Pro benefits can start immediately, but Host-side benefits cannot apply until an eligible Host account exists and the two accounts are linked.
Before you start
Sign in to the correct ShareDay account and, if you manage more than one business or event, check the name shown in the account switcher before making changes.
How to do it
- If you already have a Host account, sign in to it and open the Partner connection area from the Host account or Partner conversations page. Start a link request for the correct Partner business.
- Sign in to the Partner Portal, select that business, and approve the pending Host-account match if approval is requested. Check the displayed person and business before accepting.
- If you do not have a Host account, keep using the Partner Portal normally. When ready, create a Host account from ShareDay registration. Use the same email as the Partner owner where practical, but remember that matching email addresses alone do not create or prove the link.
- Verify the new Host email, sign in, and complete the Host profile. Then start or approve the Partner link from the account-link panel.
- Return to both accounts and confirm the link is shown as approved rather than pending. A two-sided approval may be required.
- For a Discovery Favourite benefit, create or open the Host event, make it eligible for Discovery, and confirm the Partner Pro entitlement is still active. The system can then reconcile the linked entitlement; benefits are not applied to periods before the account, link and event were eligible.
- If the link was made after subscribing, you do not need to purchase Pro again. Keep the existing Partner Pro subscription on the Partner business.
Important details
- Partner Pro belongs to the selected Partner business, not automatically to every business under the same login.
- Host and Partner permissions remain separate. A linked Host is not automatically a Partner team member, and a Partner team member is not automatically a Host co-host.
- The public Partner profile can be live without a Host link. Only Host-dependent benefits wait for the link.
- Never create a duplicate Partner profile merely to match a new Host account.
If something does not look right
- If no link request appears, confirm you are signed in to the intended accounts and that both emails are verified.
- If the Host account was created after Pro and the entitlement does not appear after linking, sign out and in once, then contact support with the Partner business name, Host email and event name.
- If the wrong accounts were linked, remove or decline the link before sending a new request.
