Guest registry
The Guest Registry stores reusable guest contacts gathered from events you own or co-host, so a future guest list can be built without retyping everyone.
Before you start
Sign in to the correct ShareDay account and, if you manage more than one business or event, check the name shown in the account switcher before making changes.
How to do it
- Open the Guest Registry from the Host area.
- Search before creating a new contact. Check name, email and mobile details to avoid duplicates.
- Correct outdated contact details and add useful private notes or tags only when they are appropriate to retain.
- Create reusable groups for families, teams, classes or other sets you invite together.
- When building an event guest list, add individuals or a saved group, then review every person before sending.
- Update event-specific information—such as RSVP, dietary notes, plus-ones or custom answers—inside the event rather than treating the registry as the final event record.
- Remove or correct contacts when requested and avoid keeping information longer than needed.
Important details
- Adding a group copies or connects suitable guests to the event but does not mean everyone has been invited until the send action is completed.
- A registry contact and an event RSVP are different records.
- Do not use guest contact details for unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis and expected permission.
If something does not look right
- If a guest appears twice, compare contact details before merging or removing anything from an active event.
- If an old address keeps returning, update the registry contact and the affected event record before resending.
