Cancel Partner Pro or recover a failed payment
Cancelling stops a future renewal; it does not normally erase the Partner account immediately. Failed payments can place Pro into a recovery or grace state before the business is downgraded.
Before you start
Sign in to the correct ShareDay account and, if you manage more than one business or event, check the name shown in the account switcher before making changes.
How to do it
- For cancellation, open Manage Billing, choose Cancel Subscription and read the effective date. Confirm the cancellation rather than only closing the page.
- Return to the Partner Portal and check whether Pro remains active until the end of the paid period.
- Before the downgrade date, export or review information you may need and identify Pro-only limits or tools that will change.
- For a failed payment, open the billing notice or portal, correct the payment method and complete any payment-provider verification.
- Allow the payment status to update, then refresh the Partner Portal. Avoid starting a second subscription as a workaround.
- If the plan downgrades, the public Free Partner profile can remain subject to eligibility, while Pro-only capacity, tools and promotional benefits are restricted.
- To reactivate later, use Manage Plan and confirm the new price and billing interval before checkout.
Important details
- Cancelling Partner Pro is different from deleting the Partner profile or closing the business account.
- Amounts already paid are not automatically refunded for unused time unless required by law or expressly agreed.
- A Host-linked Discovery benefit can stop when Pro, the link or the event is no longer eligible.
- Records may be retained for legal, security, dispute and reactivation purposes.
If something does not look right
- If cancellation is not confirmed, reopen the billing portal and look for the end date or cancellation status.
- If payment succeeded but Pro remains in recovery, contact support with the invoice or payment reference—never a full card number.
