Set up Partner bookings from start to finish

Bookings become available only when the required pieces work together. The Booking Setup strip summarises whether there is a public offering, usable availability, appropriate location and policy settings, and an enabled booking state.

Before you start

Sign in to the correct ShareDay account and, if you manage more than one business or event, check the name shown in the account switcher before making changes.

How to do it

  1. Open the Partner Portal and select the correct business.
  2. Open Booking Setup or Bookings, then create at least one offering. Give it a customer-friendly name and explain exactly what is included.
  3. Choose the pricing method and add any duration, capacity, deposit or price information the customer needs before sending a request.
  4. Add availability. Make sure at least one future bookable time or valid request rule exists.
  5. Add the locations or service-area rules used by that offering. Assign resources if capacity depends on a room, staff member, item or other limited resource.
  6. Set confirmation behaviour, booking notice, cancellation and rescheduling policies, and any waitlist or customer-information requirements.
  7. Preview the customer booking path. Check dates, wording, totals, contact details and confirmation messages.
  8. Return to the Partner dashboard and resolve every Booking Setup issue before switching Bookings On.

Important details

  • A live Partner profile does not automatically mean bookings are ready.
  • Each public offering must be complete. A private, draft or incomplete offering may be counted differently from a public one.
  • ShareDay records workflow and may record offline payments, but customer money is not processed by ShareDay unless the customer checkout explicitly says so.

If something does not look right

  • Open the exact setup warning rather than repeatedly switching Bookings On.
  • If customers see no times, check future availability, date rules, resource capacity, location assignment and offering publication.

Need help? Use the Help Centre contact form and include the business or event name, the page you were using, and what you expected to happen. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details.
