Email reminders
Email reminders can be automatic or sent from an event workflow. They depend on the event date, guest email, RSVP state, cut-off and available reminder settings.
Before you start
Sign in to the correct ShareDay account and, if you manage more than one business or event, check the name shown in the account switcher before making changes.
How to do it
- Open the event and choose Reminders or Notifications.
- Review which reminder types are enabled, their audience and when they are scheduled. Check the event’s date, time and time zone first.
- Confirm guest email addresses and exclude people who should not receive the message.
- Preview the subject, event details and link. Keep important changes in the event itself as well as the reminder.
- Enable or schedule the reminder once. Use the activity history or delivery status to confirm processing.
- For a manual update, choose the intended recipients rather than repeatedly emailing the entire guest list.
- After changing the event date or RSVP cut-off, return to reminders and confirm the schedule still makes sense.
Important details
- A scheduled reminder can be disabled when the relevant time has passed, the guest lacks an email, the event is read-only, or the plan/limit does not permit it.
- Delivery status can confirm handoff but cannot guarantee the recipient read the message.
- Day-before Host/co-host summaries and post-event feedback messages are different automations and may have separate preferences.
If something does not look right
- Check spam, spelling and delivery status before resending.
- If a reminder is disabled, read the on-screen reason and correct the source condition rather than creating duplicates.
