Create invitations and use custom artwork
ShareDay invitations can use built-in designs, customised templates or uploaded artwork. Always preview the final guest-facing invitation and test its access method before sending or printing.
Before you start
Sign in to the correct ShareDay account and, if you manage more than one business or event, check the name shown in the account switcher before making changes.
How to do it
- Open the event and choose Invitations or the invitation designer.
- Confirm the event name, date, time, location visibility and RSVP instructions before designing; invitation artwork should not be used to hide incorrect event data.
- Choose a built-in template, customise the supported text and visual options, or upload permitted JPG or PNG artwork.
- For custom artwork, leave safe space around text and QR codes and use a clear image with enough resolution for its intended screen or print size.
- Choose whether the invitation uses a general event path, QR code or unique guest access. Unique invitations should be delivered only to the intended guest.
- Generate and preview the result. Scan the QR code with a second device and confirm it opens the correct event and access level.
- Send a test to yourself before the full email or SMS send, or print one sample before producing a batch.
- If the event changes, regenerate affected invitations where the displayed information is embedded in the artwork.
Important details
- A public QR code can be shared by anyone who sees it; use private or unique access when the guest list or event details require it.
- Use only artwork, fonts, logos and photographs you are authorised to publish.
- The invitation schedule and live event page can carry updates after sending, but guests must be told about important changes.
If something does not look right
- If a QR code will not scan, increase its printed size, contrast and surrounding blank space.
- If custom artwork is cropped, use the recommended proportions and preview again before sending.
