Read-only / archived / ended events

ShareDay treats past events and archived events differently.

Past event behavior

After the event starts, normal editing stops. The overview becomes read-only for core event management.

Short post-event windows

• Guest updates stay open for 48 hours after the event start
• Guestbook interaction closes after 48 hours
• Gallery interaction closes after 7 days

Archived event

Archiving removes the event from active management while keeping it available as a record.

Use archive status when the event is finished and you want it out of the normal active workflow.
