Care Pods
Care Pods are best used for volunteer-hosted sessions where people who already know each other take turns hosting, such as after-school care rotations, shared supervision sessions, or recurring family-organised meetups.
They are not listed as childcare providers or babysitter matching. ShareDay only helps people coordinate events and RSVPs. ShareDay does not police-vet hosts and is not a licensed childcare provider. Hosts and parents are responsible for supervision, safety, transport, and suitability decisions.
General events
General events are for standard invitations and public or private gatherings that do not need volunteer host approval, such as parties, community meetups, playdates, club sessions, dinners, workshops, or other organised events.
Use a General event when one organiser is simply inviting guests, collecting RSVPs, and sharing event details without the extra Care Pod host workflow.
