Public vs Private events

Event visibility and RSVP access are related but separate choices.

Private event

Guests access the event through a private invitation link.

Public event

You can share a public link or QR code so anyone with the link can view the event page.

Public RSVP

You can turn public RSVP on or off independently. This means an event can be public to view but still controlled for attendance.

For invite-only events, use private invitations. For community or open-access events, public sharing is usually the better option.
